‘FER NA BHETAI OO PACHRUKHIA’: MIRROR OF THE SOCIAL HISTORY OF BHOJPURI REGION

ARA--------------------------A discussion was organized in the Bhojpuri Department of Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) on the book ‘Fer Na Bhetai oo Pachrukhia’ a autobiography of Dr. Ranjan Vikas, co-founder of Bhojpuri Sahityangan E-Library at VKSU. Critic Jitendra Kumar presided over the meeting while research scholar Rajesh Kumar conducted the meeting and convener of Bhojpuri Student Union, Syandan Suman extended vote of thanks. The auditorium was jam packed with students, teachers and literature lovers associated with the Bhojpuri movement.

Speaking on the occasion, Jitendra Kumar said that this book is not just Ranjan’s autobiography but also a social, history of Bhojpuri region. In this book, every aspect and problems of the society have been looked at closely.

Litterateur Ramyas Avikal and former department head Ayodhya Prasad Upadhyaya underlined the use of typical Bhojpuri vocabularies in the book. Gyanendra Gunjan Sinha said that this book proves that Bhojpuri literature is rich and high-quality writing is being done in every genre.

Former Head of the Department Dr. Neeraj Singh said that the family from which Dr. Ranjan Vikas comes has made an unprecedented contribution to the development of Bhojpuri literature. This book is not just Ranjan’s memoir but the history of an era of Bhojpuri literature.

Dr. Diwakar Pandey, department head, shared interesting events from the book and appreciated the role of Dr. Ranjan Vikas in donating the book to the Bhojpuri department library.

Senator, VKSU and former Professor, Baliraj Thakur congratulated Dr. Ranjan Vikas for the publication of the book.

The literary enthusiasts present congratulated Bhojpuri Sahityangan E-Library and Dr. Ranjan Vikas for donating valuable books to the Bhojpuri department library.
