What is the fate of Telangana Talli?: BJP’s Gudur poser to KCR
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party state senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy on Thursday in a poser to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao wanted to know about the fate of Telangana Talli as KCR floated Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
“Chandrasekhara Rao has closed Telangana Rashtra Samithi and floated Bharat Rashtra Samithi recently. He shunned the responsibility of Telangana state and ‘yearning’ to shoulder the responsibilities of the country. It means that he is no more bothered about Telangana,” Narayana Reddy said in a media statement.
He alleged that in the past eight and half years Chandrasekhara Rao has looted the state to the maximum extent. KCR amassed thousands of crores of rupees in the name of constructing the projects of Telangana in the form of percentages.
Speaking sarcastically, Narayana Reddy said, “Chandrasekhara Rao has looted the genteelu (ear rings), bangles, vaddanam (ornament belt) and other jewelry of Telangana Talli and left her in lurch.”
He criticized that KCR has watered down the dreams of Telangana. “While the people of Telangana have believed that he would act like an elder son of the family and would shoulder the responsibility of development of Telangana. But he shunned the responsibility abruptly and announced that he would take up ‘mission of development of the country’,” the BJP leader said.
Narayana Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister has failed to achieve anything in the state and the projects being built by him have become ceremonial idols. For example the Kaleswaram Project has proved to be a disaster even though more than one lakh crore of rupees have been spent.
Apart from that the Chief Minister has turned Telangana into a bankrupt state with more than Rs 4 lakh crores of debt. Nearly a quarter of own revenues of the state have been spent on debt servicing every year.
The BJP leader said that with such a horrible history how Chandrasekhara Rao could ensure a better rule to the nation. He said that by floating BRS the Chief Minister has been making a futile attempt of diverting the attention of the people of the state from the issues they have been facing in Telangana.
Narayana Reddy predicted that the BRS would be a non starter in the country as the leaders of other states have not evinced any interest in it. “The Chief Minister has made a show of the party in Delhi with the help of few politically insolvent leaders. But this would not work,” he said.
He said that the CM has been trying futilely to compare himself with Prime Minister Narendra Modi who brought BJP to power at the Centre with full majority by promoting Gujarat model. Telangana Chief Minister wants to repeat the feat of Narendra Modi with so called ‘Telangana Model’, which does not exist.
