TWO MISCREANTS ARRESTED, FIREARMS SEIZED

Ara, 9 December 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested two miscreants from Chasi village under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district in connection with murderous attempt on a BJP leader cum contractor Rohit Kumar Singh alias Babloo Singh. The police recovered a rifle, a country made pistol, five live cartridges, three blank cartridges and a mobile from their possession.

Bhojpur SP Sanjay Kumar Singh said that some armed miscreants had shot at and injured BJP leader cum contractor, Rohit Kumar Singh alias Babloo Singh of Laharapa village under Gadhani police station who lived in a house at Friends’ Colony at Ara when he was walking near his Ara house under Nawada police station and had escaped. An FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station in this regard. Police were investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The SP stated that meanwhile, he got information that some miscreants had assembled in a house at Chasi village under Narayanpur police station to hatch plan to commit crime. He formed a police team that conducted raid in the house at Chasi village and arrested Rahul Kumar and his brother-in-law (bahanoi) Manoj Kumar Singh.

The SP further said that during interrogation, Rahul Kumar confessed that Babloo Singh always tortured and thrashed his friend Makardhwaz and to take revenge, murderous attempt was made on Babloo Singh. He added that the police are conducting raids to arrest three aides of Rahul Kumar.
