THREE CONTAINERS WITH 103 CATTLE SEIZED, DRIVERS ARRESTED

Ara, 25 December 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested three drivers and seized three containers loaded with 103 cattle from near Nayaka Tola Mor under Jagdishpur police station on Ara-Mohania NH-30.

SHO Jagdishpur police station said that he got information that some objectionable articles were being carried in containers. He at once swung into action and launched vehicle checking drive at Nayaka Tola Mor. When the police intercepted the containers, the drivers tried to misguide the police but the police got the containers opened and found cattle in them. He said at least 103 cattle were recovered and were sent to the ‘goshala’ at Gangi in Ara. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station under the Animal Cruelty Act and the police are investigating the matter. The arrested container drivers were identified as Tazim Khan of Sihali village, Vajid Khan of Bankat under Aamas police station area in Gaya district and Md Irfan of Umajan under Pratappur police station in Chatar district.
