Ara, 30 November 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested six drug peddlers from a house at Maulabagh locality under Nawada police station and seized 1.25 gram of brown sugar and Rs. 2.05 lakh in cash from them. The arrested miscreants were identified as Ashish Kumar son of Jai Mangal Singh of Jokhari village under Badahara police station, Akash Kumar son of Sunil Singh, Ritik Kumar son of Arun Kumar of Gausganj locality under Ara town police station, Nitish Kumar son of Raj Kumar Singh of Navanagar under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district, Smeer Vidyarthi alias Jhunnu son of Dhan Jee Kumar and Nandan Kumar son of Alakh Prasad of Nai Sarai Sangat ki Gali under Biharsharif police station in Nalanda district. All were involved in drug peddling and some of them were drug addict.

Bhojpur SP Sanjay Kumar Singh said that he got information that some drug peddlers were dealing in drug in a rented house at Maulabagh locality under Nawada police station. He formed a police team under the ASP Himanshu. The police team conducted raid and arrested six drug peddlers. When searched, the police seized 1.25 gram of brown sugar and Rs. 2.05 lakh in cash from the house kept under the bed, an electronic weighing machine and a scissors from there. The SP stated that Akash and Ashish were suppliers with the help of Nitish and Ritik while Sameer Vidyarthi was buyer.
