Security of doctors should increase at hospital level, strict laws are needed

New Delhi (RNI) Widespread solution of this problem is possible only by ensuring strict security of doctors at the hospital administration level across the country. Along with this, the criminals should get the harshest punishment by promptly investigating such cases.

Senior doctors and intellectuals of the country expressed this opinion today. Although the union doctors, who have been agitating at the national level for the last 10 days in protest against the brutal incident with a female doctor in West Bengal, have returned to work after the Supreme Court's instructions, the issue of security still remains a big question.

Dr. KPS Malik, who was the head of the Ophthalmology Department at Safdarjung Hospital, has said that wide-scale solution of this problem is possible only by ensuring strict security of doctors at the hospital administration level across the country.

Dr. Malik has also said that the culprits of Kolkata incident should be hanged within three months after a speedy trial. This will spread fear among such criminals. He has also said that there should be separate rest rooms for male and female resident doctors in hospitals and all modern security techniques should be there in them.

Well known social worker and leader of many mass movements in the country Arvind Pathak has said that the incidents of crime against doctors, especially female doctors, in hospitals are very serious. The culprits of Kolkata incident should be hanged immediately.

LJP (Ram Vilas) National Vice President Mani Shankar Pandey has said that the Kolkata incident is a matter of shame for the country. The culprits should get the harshest punishment and there should be tight security for doctors throughout the country. L.S.
