Elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct free, fair and peaceful second phase of local body election in Bhojpur district slated to be held on December 28, 2022. Counting will be held on December 30, 2022.
Ara, 27 December 2022, (RNI): Elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct free, fair and peaceful second phase of local body election in Bhojpur district slated to be held on December 28, 2022. Counting will be held on December 30, 2022. Electioneering came to an end in the evening on December 26, 2022 at 5pm and election agents joined their place of duties and received the election articles. In the second phase of local body election, about 2.61 lakh electorates will exercise their franchise at 297 polling booths to elect Ward Councilors in the 45 wards of Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), one Mayor and a Deputy Mayor besides Chairperson, deputy chairperson and 12 ward councilors in in the Gadhani Nagar Panchayat and Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and 14 ward councilors in the Koelwar Nagar Panchayat in Bhojpur district.
Bhojpur district administration divided 297 polling booths into 66 sectors of which 53 sectors are in the AMC, 7 sectors in Koelwar Nagar Panchayat and 6 in the Gadhani Nagar Panchayat and also deputed sector magistrates, police officials and master trainers. The Sector Magistrates will join their duty on December 27, 2022 and will also receive polling materials including EVMs for their respective sectors.
Bhojpur district administration has made two ideal polling booths and two Pink Booths in the AMC and arrangement of web casting has been made on 13 polling booths while on the other hand one ideal polling booth has been made in the Koelwar and Gadhani Nagar Panchayats each.
