Issuing a media statement, Narayana Reddy said that works at AIIMS – Bibinagar were apace as it would be formally inaugurated in March next year. Most sophisticated and advanced medical equipment started to arrive at the institution premises and some were installed.
The BJP leader said that construction of the buildings was nearing completion and the management has started procuring the equipment like MRI, CT Scan and others. He also informed that the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned Rs 1360 crores for the construction of building and for procurement of equipment.
He said that the institution needs uninterrupted and quality power supply for the proper functioning of the sophisticated and advanced medical equipment. He informed that a four tier power supply was required to run the equipment properly.
He said that UPS, diesel power generation equipment, regular power connection and dedicated substation for stable power supply were required. Since Bibinagar is in the rural area, power supply may be affected due to various circumstances.
“Since the power supply is the subject of the Telangana Government, the state government should immediately take initiative to establish a dedicated substation,” he said.
He informed that the management of the AIIMS-Bibinagar has written letters to the state government to provide substation. But there was no response from the state government so far.
“The Chief Minister should open his eyes immediately and should take up allocation of substation to AIIMS on war footing. He should instruct concerned officials to erect the substation,” he demanded.
Narayana Reddy said that already the patients are being treated in some departments of the AIIMS. He said that oncology, gynic, orthopedic and other treatments are provided at the hospital premises regularly.
He said that AIIMS at Bibinagar would become another premier medical institution in the state and would cater to entire Telangana after it is fully operationalised.
The people of the state would get most advanced medical services through AIIMS at an affordable cost. Thus AIIMS has acquired lot of significance in providing the health care in the state.
He said that important public medical institutions like Osmania, Gandhi General Hospitals and Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences were over burdened and the poor patients were put to many hardships to get treatment for serious and complicated ailments.
He said that AIIMS with sophisticated equipment, highly skilled doctors, para medical staff, vast experience and with advanced training could provide the best treatment to the poor people of the state.
