Protest in Jaipur for Journalist Protection Act & other demands

Jaipur (RNI) Journalists of Rajasthan staged a protest at the Shaheed Smarak here for other demands including Journalist Protection Act, today. 

Organized under the banner of National Journalist Organization Periodical Press of India (PPI), this protest was led by the National President of the organization Dr. Surendra Sharma and Rajasthan Unit Chief Sunny Atrey.

Journalists associated with other organizations also participated in this protest. Dr. Samrendra Pathak, Executive President of International Journalist Organization SAARC Journalist Forum, had sent a letter to both the leaders yesterday and extended support.

Later, the journalists gave a memorandum to the government regarding their demands, which mentions the implementation of Journalist Protection Act in the state and other demands. L.S.
