PRESIDENT, INDIA TAKES COGNIZANCE ON THE PETITION

Ara, 11 November 2022, (RNI): Taking cognizance of the kidnapping and murder of an advocate, Ara Civil Court, Dr Hari Ji Gupta , President, India, Draupadi Murmu, transferred the petition to the Chief Secretary, Bihar to take speedy action on the petition.

Pramod Kumar Rai, Secretary, Ara Bar Association emailed the President, India, Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister, Bihar, Chief Minister and Bar Council of India on November 6, 2022 regarding kidnapping and cruel murder an advocate, Ara Civil Court and gold businessman, Dr Hari Jee Gupta demanding compensation of Rs. 30 lakh to the family members of the deceased advocate, government job to the next kin of the deceased in the State or Central government, capital punishment to the named and unnamed accused in the murder of the advocate after speedy trial, ensure implementation of Advocate Protection Act in Bihar, issuance of arms licenses to the advocates. Taking cognizance, the President, India, on November 9, 2022, transferred the file to the Chief Secretary, Bihar for further action and apprised the petitioner with the action taken report.

P C Meena, Under Secretary, President’s Secretariat, New Delhi, said that the President of India took cognizance on the petition which is self-explanatory and requested the petitioner to liaise with the Chief Secretary, Bihar directly for further information in the matter and requested that the petitioner might use portal ‘http://helpline.rb.nic.in’ for submitting his/her petition/grievance.
