POLICE SEIZE 1152 PACKERS OF IMFL, ARREST TWO SMUGGLERS
Bhojpur police seized 1152 packets of Indian Made Foreign Liquor loaded in a car from near Jhauwa Bus Stand under Bihia police station in the late evening and arrested two liquor smugglers.
Ara, 14 November 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police seized 1152 packets of Indian Made Foreign Liquor loaded in a car from near Jhauwa Bus Stand under Bihia police station in the late evening and arrested two liquor smugglers. The liquor smugglers were identified as Vikas Singh son of Ram Bihari Singh of Jhauwa village in Bhojpur district, Bihar and Jitendra Kumar Singh son of Krishna Singh of Dildarpur under Tihari police station of Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station under the New Excise Act in this regard. Police sent them to jail after interrogation.
SHO Bihia police station Uday Bhanu Singh said that he got information liquor smugglers have come to Bihar from Uttar Pradesh with IMFL in large quantity. He immediately swung into action and launched vehicle checking drive. The police intercepted a Maruti Suzuki near Jhauwa Bus Stand. When searched the car, the police seized 1152 packets of IMFL from the car. The police also arrested two liquor smugglers travelling in the car and sent them to jail after interrogation.
