POLICE OUTRAGED MODESTY OF A PROFESSIONAL DANCER
-A professional dancer blamed that a police person with thrashing and outraging her modesty. She also blamed that when she went to the Gadhnai police station to lodge an FIR, the police shooed her away though the SHO, Gadhani police station refuted the charges. Later the victim knocked the door of the Ara civil court. Still she is running from pillar to post to get justice.
Ara, 25 November 2022, (RNI): A professional dancer blamed that a police person with thrashing and outraging her modesty. She also blamed that when she went to the Gadhnai police station to lodge an FIR, the police shooed her away though the SHO, Gadhani police station refuted the charges. Later the victim knocked the door of the Ara civil court. Still she is running from pillar to post to get justice.
The girl said that she is a resident of a village under Mohanpur police station of Durg district in Chhatisgarh and worked as professional dancer in a dance group of Bittu Kumar at Gadhnai in Bhojpur district for the last three years to earn money for the family. She blamed that blamed that some police persons with the SHO, Gadhani police station Santosh Rajak entered the house where she lived with other professional girls. They started thrashing them unprovoked and one of the police persons took dragged her into a room and tore her cloths and also outraged her modesty. After the police persons returned, she narrated her woes to other girls and next day she along with other girls went to the police station to lodge an FIR but the police shooed them away from the gate of the police station and so she knocked the door of the court. She showed her torn cloths and bruise on her body.
The dance group owner Bittu said that the police persons entered the house and thrashed the girls. One police person also outraged her modesty of a girl.
When the contacted the SHO Gadhnai police station refuted all the charges and said that the police had searched the house. Even the Bhojpur SP Sanjay Kumar Singh refuted the charges.
