ONE NAMED ACCUSED IN THE MURDER OF ADVOCATE ARRESTED FROM GUJARAT

Ara, 11 November 2022, (RNI): Gujrat police arrested one of the named accused in the murder of an advocate cum businessman Dr Hari Ji Gupta from Rajkot in Gujrat. The arrested accused was identified as Ravi Ranjan Yadav son of Rajendra Yadav. Bhopur police team went to Rajkot to bring the arrested miscreant. During interrogation, he confessed before the Gujrat police his involvement in the murder and even the earlier arrested miscreant Ritesh Kumar identified him with his photograph.

Bhojpur SP Sanjay Kumar Singh said that the advocate cum businessman Dr Hri Ji Gupta of Mahajan Toli No 1 under Ara town police station had gone to Baluaahi Market Store at Dhanupura locality under Ara town police station in the afternoon on November 2, 2022 to collect rents but he did not return home. It was said that there he had a tiff with his renters and after that he was beaten up with iron road and was kidnapped in a car. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station against six persons including the renters Amar Kumar, Ritesh Kumar of Rauza locality, Ranjan of Ahirpurwa. The SP said that taking it seriously, he formed five police teams under the ASP Himanshu and started conducting raids to recover the advocate and arrested Ritesh Kumar from Rauza locality under Ara town police station first of all and recovered the car used in the kidnapping from near Buxar railway station and also recovered the body of the advocate packed in a gunny bag from a drain under a bridge near Ranisagar in Buxar district.

The SP stated that some named accused in the murder are still absconding but the police are conducting raids to arrest them at different places in Bhojpur district and also in other districts and states. He said that the police are searching the main accused in the murder Amar Kumar. Reportedly, Amar Kumar fled away to New Delhi via Buxar and Gajipur in Uttar Pradesh by train after parking the car in Buxar.

The SP further said that Ravi Ranjan Yadav alias Ranjan had fled away to Rajkot by train to escape arrest and he admitted this during interrogation. He had accompanied Amar Kumar, Ritesh Kumar upto Ranisagar but he along with Ritesh returned Ara from there. After that he went to Patna and escaped Rajkot in Gujarat by a train to escape arrest but the police got his location and with the help of Gujarat police arrested him.
