Ara, 16 December 2022, (RNI): One person was beaten to death at Shobhi Dumaara under Ara Muffassil police station in the night on December 15, 2022. Land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident. The deceased was identified as Ranjeet Paswan alias Bade Paswan son of Rameshwar Paswan of Shobhi Dumara village. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ara Muffassil police station against Babloo her brother-in-law, his wife and her father-in-law Rameshwar Paswan on the statement of the wife of the deceased. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The Police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Seema Devi wife of the deceased, said that her husband Ranjeet Paswan alias Bade Paswan had a dispute with his father and brother over one katha of land in the village. She said that her brother-in-law Babloo entered her house and started beating Ranjeet Paswan with iron rod abusing him. His wife and even her father-in-law Rameshwar Paswan followed and thrashed Ranjeet Paswan with iron rod and traditional weapon and badly injured. Some villagers interfered and rushed him to the Ara Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
