Nitish Kumar's reputation at stake in Delhi's Burari

New Delhi (RNI) The reputation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his generals is once again at stake in Delhi's Burari assembly constituency. Will JDU succeed this time on the only seat left by BJP or will the same fate be repeated?
In the assembly elections held in the year 2020, Shailendra Kumar was the candidate from NDA's JDU from Burari, who was defeated by AAP's Sanjeev Jha by a margin of more than 88 thousand votes.
According to the data, Shailendra Kumar got more than 51 thousand votes in this election, while in the 2015 elections, BJP candidate Gopal Jha got more than 56 thousand votes here. That is, BJP was successful in getting more than 5 thousand votes on its own here.
In the 2020 elections, Chief Minister Kumar and his lieutenants had campaigned extensively in favour of JDU candidate Shailendra Kumar, but could not defeat Bihari-origin AAP candidate Sanjeev Jha. The same fate befell JDU in Sangam Vihar as well.
Sources say that keeping this situation in mind, a large section of BJP was not in favour of giving even a single seat to JDU in Delhi this time, but had to do so in the last phase under pressure from the top leadership. This has angered the local BJP leaders and workers.
Congress candidate Mangesh Tyagi says that JDU has no public support here. This party is in power in Bihar. JDU has no presence in Delhi. He also alleged that local AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha has committed many scams in DTC, sewer and road construction etc. As soon as the Congress government is formed, it will be investigated and he will go to jail.
When asked if Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will come for campaigning, he said that it will not have any effect. People here know that if the area develops, it can only be done by local leaders.
On the other hand, there is a wave of happiness in AAP due to the candidature of Shailendra Kumar. They say that this time again Mr. Jha will win with record votes. If he had been a BJP candidate, the margin of victory would have been less.
