New Delhi, April 5, 2023. It is said that if a person is hardworking and dedicated, he can achieve everything. Something similar happened in the life of former MP Mahabal Mishra. He started his political innings as a corporator, Then became MLA twice and after became MP. Mr. Mishra is counted as a famous Purvanchali leader in Delhi these days.

Born on July 31, 1953, in Siriyapur village of Madhubani district of Bihar, Mr. Mishra, after completing his elementary education, took up a job to earn a living. He started his political innings in 1997 by winning the election of a councilor from Congress in Delhi. Elected to the Assembly. After being an MLA thrice, he was elected a member of the Lok Sabha from the Congress in the year 2009 and soon became the face of Purvanchali in Delhi.

Mr. Mishra, an outspoken Congress MP, was married to a pious woman, Urmila, in the year 1966. They have two sons and a daughter. One son, Vinay Mishra, is an MLA from the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Legislative Assembly. He is following in his father's footsteps. He has made his mark as a youth leader in the area.

Mr. Mishra, a former MP who joined AAP after leaving Congress last year, says that in present times, there has been a lot of decrease in service and values in politics. The matter of ideology is no longer effective. Personal interest is a hobby. 

Mr. Mishra said that in his three decades of public service, he united day and night to settle lakhs of people, provide them water, electricity, education and health facilities. People also gave him a lot of love. He is grateful for this.

Referring to the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2014 in the Modi wave, he says that he did not expect such a thing. He had full faith in the people of his region. He was especially proud of the Purvanchal society. He said that from the construction of Chhath Ghats to this He had to fight on many occasions to declare a public holiday on the occasion, to establish Bhojpuri Maithili Academy in Delhi and to protect the honor of Purvanchal residents.
