Kudos to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu: says BJP's Gudur

Hyderabad (RNI) BJP's state senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy on Saturday has appreciated the decisions of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with regard to protection of Hinduism and for the betterment of temples in Andhrapradesh Pradesh.

In a media statement, he said that the AP CM has announced few steps for the protection of sanctity of the temples recently.

He informed that the AP CM Naidu has taken a decision not to appoint non Hindus in the Hindu temples as employees. The salaries of the priests of the temples were raised by 50 per cent.

Apart from this it has been also decided to give Rs 3000 per month for the students of Ved Vidya. The grant for each temple has been raised to Rs 10000 from Rs 5000 per month. Religious conversions would be put under check in the state.

He said that these measures would go a long way in protecting the temples from sacrilege. “Kudos for AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for initiating these measures,” he said.

Mr Reddy stated that Hinduism is under threat in the country due to the aggressive activities of members of other religions. Non Hindus were being appointed in the temples who have been using the temples for the preaching of their own religion.

“In the past preaching by members of other religions have taken place at Tirumala which is the most sacred place for the Hindus. Several anti Hindu activities have taken place in the temples in Andhra Pradesh,” he explained.

He made it clear that those who believe in Hinduism and worship the Hindu Gods should only be appointed in the temples in the country so that the sanctity of them is protected. However due to the loopholes in the appointment process, non Hindus are entering into them.
