Government is fully committed to improving the lives of women: Modi

Jalgaon (RNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi  said that our government is fully committed to improving the lives of the mothers and sisters of the country, today.

According to press release Mr. Modi was speaking at the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan here. The Prime Minister said that the women power of India has always contributed in building the future of the society and the nation. He also said that he sees the imprint of Rajmata Jijabai and Savitribai Phule in all women.

The Prime Minister said that the women's of Maharashtra have played an important role in elevating the glorious culture and traditions of the state. These traditions of Maharashtra have made their mark not only in India but all over the world. He also interacted with Lakhpati Didis on this occasion.

Mr Modi released a fund of Rs 2,500 crore, which will benefit about 48 lakh members of 4.3 lakh self-help groups. He also distributed bank loans worth Rs 5,000 crore, which will benefit 25.8 lakh members of 2.35 lakh self-help groups. L.S.
