Freedom of press necessary for strengthening of democracy: Vidrohi

Hajipur (RNI) National President of Indian Journalist Association (IJA) Ramnath Vidrohi has said that freedom of the press is necessary for the strengthening of democracy in India.

Mr Vidrohi was addressing the district level conference cum discussion program of journalists organized on the problems like interest of journalists, honor and respect and challenges of journalism profession in the present times, yesterday. 

Mr Vidrohi said that if the journalists of the district generously discharge the responsibilities of the common people with coordination, then the government and the administration should also really respect that coordination. Referring to the recent events, he called for cooperating with each other with priority.

This conference organized in the Adarsh ​​Hotel Auditorium located at Ramashish Chowk in the city was chaired by Vaishali Press Club District President Kaushal Kishore Pathak. The program was conducted by senior journalist Subodh Kumar Singh.

The conference was held in two sessions. In the first session, Subodh Kumar, who was conducting the discussion, introduced the topic of challenges of journalism profession, the direction and condition of journalists in present times and discussed in detail the objective of forming Vaishali Press Club, journalism on the path of deviation from basic responsibilities in present times, etc.

On this occasion, journalists Dr. Chandrabhushan Singh Shashi, Dr. Sanjay Vijitwar, Amar Kumar Choubey, Rahul Singh, Ranjeet Pathak, Devesh Kumar, Tony Kumar Kaushal, Dharmendra Kumar, Rupesh Kumar, Rajkumar Raju, Sanjeet Kumar Moti, Manish Kumar, Vineet Kumar, Deepak Shastri, Prof. Amitabh Kumar, Amresh Shrivastava, Vikas Mahapatra, Rajababu, Rupesh Singh, besides many journalists from district headquarters Hajipur and block, mentioned the problems faced during collection of news.
