FOUR PERSONS INJURED IN GROUP CLASH, ONE KILLED

Ara, 16 November 2022, (RNI): At least one person was killed while two sons, one daughter and mother  were injured in a group clash at Sundarpur Baraja village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on November 15, 2022 over a piece of land. The injured were admitted to a private nursing home at Ara. The police recovered three live cartridges of 3.15 caliber from one of the injured. The injured were identified as Shankar Rai 55, his sons Rahul Kumar Rai 26 and Vikas Kumar Rai 26, his daughter Vikki Kumari 22 and his mother, septuagenarian Pukaro Devi. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Bihia police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident. Police arrested six persons in this regard so far who confessed their involvement and also revealed cause of incident.

Rahul Kumar said that partition was land was done by mutual consent in between both the shareholders but dispute continued since November 2021 over 6 kattha of land. He had ploughed the land and returned home in the evening on November 15, 2022 when six persons of another group came and said that the land was theirs and why he ploughed it. They embroiled with him and his family members and started firing. In the meantime, his father Shankar Rai and other family members came out of the house, they also fired on them and injured but Shankar Kumar Rai succumbed to his injuries during treatment today. He blamed Krishna Rai, his brother Radha Mohan Rai alias Chunu Rai and others firing.

SHO Bihia police station Bhanu Singh said that one person was killed while four injured in a  group clash at Sundarpur Baraza village under Bihia police station. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
