Extremely unfortunate that TPCC chief Revanth trying to do politics while people are suffering with heavy rains: Dr Dasoju

Hyderabad, July 27: BRS senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan censured TPCC president and MP Revanth Reddy for giving a call to protest in front of GHMC office, calling it as a cheap political gimmick, when people are suffering with incessant heavy rains, which is a natural calamity. Dr Sravan fired on Congress party leaders for obstructing the rescue and emergency works being taken by GHMC, HMWSSB, police and other government staff for petty politics.

"There have been incessant rains over the past one week and rainfall of 70 to 100 cms has been recorded across the state. Inspite of such a heavy rain, government machinery across Telangana has been alert and working 24x7 to avert any untoward situation. Municipal Affairs and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has been personally montoring the situatuon and ensuring that resuce and relief operations are going on wherever necessary," said Dr Dasoju Sravan explaining about the round the clock measures being taken up by government to handle heavy rains. 

"Not just in Hyderabad but Warangal city and other districts have also been witnessing heavy downpour. The quick action and constant monitoring by government has ensured that there are no casualties and prevented inundation and flooding in many areas. But it seems all these efforts by GHMC and other government bodies are not visible to Congress party leaders who are blinded by petty politics," said Dr Dasoju Sravan firing on the opposition parties plan to lay seize to GHMC office. 

"It is extremely unfortunate that TPCC president and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy is trying to do politics even while people are suffering with uncessant rains. Instead of attending to people who are troubled with heavy rains in his own constituency Malkajgiri, Revanth Reddy is indulging in cheap politics sitting in Delhi. His immature actions will only further trouble people and obstuct the rescue measures being taken up by GHMC, police and other related department officials," reasoned Dr Dasoju Sravan finding fault with Congress party's decision to seize GHMC office being planned for Friday morning. 

Trashing open letter written by TPCC chief Revanth Reddy to Municipal Affairs and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao as a political gimmick, Dr Sravan stressed that it is because of foresight and swift action by government that no intoward incidents have been reported in GHMC so far, though there have been continuous rains for the past week. As Meterological Department has predicted further rains, Dr Sravan appealed to opposition party leaders, not to indulge in cheap politics but help people in need wherever necessary. 

Dr Sravan signed off saying CM KCR has been considerate and responsive towards families who suffered during rains and even gave financial assitance several times, stressing that BRS Government does not need to learn from Congress party, which has never done so during its past rule.
