DREADED CRIMINAL ARRESTED

Ara, 25 December 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a dreaded criminal Slim Hashmi alias Timla alias Bruce Lee son of Md Sohrab Mian of Bhaluhipur locality under Ara town police station from near Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border area along with firearms and sent him to jail after interrogation. He took shelter at Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh after committing crime. At the direction of the new Bihar DGP, Bhojpur SP had prepared and sent a list of 10 top most wanted criminals to the Police Headquarter of which Salim Hashmi alias Timla alias Bruce Lee occupied third position. At least three murder cases are pending against him in the Town police station while one in Bihia police station.

Sources said that Salim Hashmi’s name figured in a murder at Bhaluhipur locality in the year 2017 for the first time. After a year, his name once again came to light in the murder under Bihia police station area. Police was searching for him. Meanwhile, he was made accused in the murder of a businessman Salil Jain son of Prasun Kumar Jain at Jail Road under Ara town police station and also in the murder of Shashikant alias Vikki son of former Ward Councilor Mahendra Singh on September 11, 2022 on Ara-Patna main road. Police were conducting raids from Bhojpur to Uttar Pradesh to arrest him but he always slipped. At last the Bhojpur police arrested him from the Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border area. It was said that he was a contract killer and committed crime at the behest of a criminal languishing in the Ara jail.
