CONDOLENCE MEETING HELD
Under the banner of Bhojpur district Hindi Sahitya (BDHSS) Sammelan, a condolence meeting was organized to pay homage to a departed critic and writer of Hindi literature, Dr Manager Pandey.
Ara, 9 November 2022, (RNI): Under the banner of Bhojpur district Hindi Sahitya (BDHSS) Sammelan, a condolence meeting was organized to pay homage to a departed critic and writer of Hindi literature, Dr Manager Pandey. Dr Balraj Thakur, district president, BDHSS, presided over the meeting while Dr Nand Ji Dubey conducted the meeting and Rajani Pradhan extended vote of thanks. The members and others paid floral tributes to Dr Manager Pandey and observed two minute silence for the peace of departed soul.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Balraj Thakur said that Dr Manager Pandey contributed a lot to the Hindi world and added that his sudden demise was a great loss to Hindi. Quoting the idea of Dr. Manager Pandey, he said that criticism is directionless without thoughts. He said they had lost a pillar of Hindi criticism.
Dr Nand Ji Dubey said that Dr Manager Pandey was a professor of Hindi in the Department of Hindi at Jawahar Lal Nehru University and wrote a number of books.
Some others who also spoke on the occasion were Dr Diwakr Pandey, Jitendra Kumar, Dr Satya Narayan Upadhyaya, Dr Ayodhyaya Prasad Upadhyaya. Dr Punam Kumari, Shiv Das Singh, Janardan Mishra, Dr Anand Bihari Mishra, Dr Suman Kumari, Madhu Mishra, Dr Mamata Mishra, Dr Pankaj Kumar Rai, Ram Das Rahi, Dr Ravindra Kumar Thakur and Basudeo Singh.
