Complaint sent to the PM against a BEO of Madhubani district in Bihar
New Delhi (RNI) The Delhi unit of the All India Mithila State Struggle Committee has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and many other top officials complaining against a Block Education Officer (BEO) of Madhubani district in Bihar who has been posted at the same place for years.
The PMO has sent this letter to the Chief Secretary of Bihar with necessary instructions. In the complaint letter, Ranjit Kumar Singh, President of the Delhi Unit of the Committee, has said that Mahesh Prasad Singh, Block Education Officer, Block Lakhnaur, District Madhubani, has been posted at the same place in Bihar for years and is involved in many cases of corruption.
The letter states that Mr. Singh has been posted at the same place for the last six years against the government rules and takes monthly payments from teachers who remain absent from school. Under this head, lakhs of rupees are collected every month and distributed up to the district level. In the mid-day meal case too, there have been allegations of collecting lakhs of rupees from schools. Apart from this, the movable and immovable assets acquired by them illegally have also been mentioned.
