Changing Government Symbols, erase the history of T'gana: Dasoju criticizes CM

Hyderabad (RNI) BRS leader Dr. Dasoju Sravan criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for changing government symbols, alleging that it undermines public interest and erases the history of Telangana.

In his recent X plotform, Dr. Sravan questioned whether public governance was being treated as a kid's play. He expressed concern over the frequent changes in government symbols every time a new administration comes into power, likening it to the erratic rule of Tughlaq.

He argued that if Revanth Reddy had to step down from the Chief Minister's position in the future, it would set a precedent for the next Chief Minister to introduce yet another new logo. This, he said, was not in the public's interest.

Dr Sravan emphasized that any need for change should involve convincing and pleasing the public. He insisted that such decisions should not be made solely by the Chief Minister and his close associates but require a consultative approach involving all sections of society, ideally with discussions in the assembly and also should get the consensus.

In his X, Dr Sravan stressed that in a democracy, the Chief Minister is not a king who can act unilaterally but a chief servant whose position is not permanent.
