Ara, 24 November 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a car driver Parmal Yadav from Narayanpur village under the same police station and sent him to jail in connection with stealing of INSAS rifle from CRPF camp at Adityapur in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand police had already arrested the CRPF man Rohit Kumar alias Sahdeo from Patna for the same cause. Parmal Yadav is a resident of Situhari village under Narayanpur police station. The police also recovered the car used in escaping with the INSAS rifle from Jharkhand.

SDPO, Piro Rahul Singh said that the police got information that Parmal Yadav was moving scot free at Narayanpur village. The police at once conducted raid and arrested Parmal Yadav from there.

He said that two INSAS rifles were stolen from 157 CRPF camp at Adityapur in Jharkhand after breaking the glass of Arms Guard and a named FIR was lodged with the police against the CRPF man Rohit Kumar alias Sahdeo of Situhari village under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district in Bihar. Rohit Kumar was seen in the CCTV footage fleeing with the INSAS rifle. The SDPO further said that Rohit Kumar came to his native village at Situhari with the INSAS rifle in a car. On the tip off of the Jharkhand police, Bhojpur SP Sanjay Kumar Singh formed a police team under the SDPO and this police team recovered the INSAS rifle from behind his house at Situhari village kept under the sand and the car used in escaping from Jharkhand on November 11, 2022.
