Campaigning for MCD elections ends, voting 4 th Dec

New Delhi, 2 December 2022, (RNI): The campaign for the MCD elections ended at 5 pm today. The voting will start from 4th Dec. With this the noise of the MCD election campaign ended.

In view of the last phase of campaigning, the administration had made strict security arrangements. Police had made elaborate arrangements at various places. Videography was being done. Due to this the candidates ended the campaigning at the scheduled time.

In the last phase of the Delhi Municipal Corporation election campaign, the metropolis was jammed due to rallies at various places. The conditions in the streets and neighborhoods were also not normal. The sky kept echoing with slogans.

Top leaders of BJP, AAP, Congress, BSP and other smaller parties also took part in the last round rallies. Rebel and independent candidates showed full strength.

In Seelampur ward number 225, the capital's most popular seat, Haji Afzal, the former candidate of the assembly constituency, took out big rallies in the area in support of his wife. The candidate was weighed in the temple with coins and sweets, yesterday. People also gave him a grand welcome with flower garlands.

Haji Afzal's wife Hajjan Shakeela Afzal has been corporator of BSP from here for 10 years and this time she is an independent candidate. Her election symbol is auto rickshaw.

Haji Afzal said that his wife, being a councilor for 10 years, did many things in the area and gave the message of brotherhood. Everyone has been together in happiness and sorrow. Therefore should be given a chance to serve the public, so that they can complete the unfinished work.
