Campaigning for Delhi Assembly elections started gaining momentum

New Delhi (RNI) Campaigning for Delhi Assembly elections is now slowly gaining momentum. Today being the last date for nomination, people had to face chaos and jams at many places.

Voting will be held on all 70 seats of Delhi on February 5 and counting will be done on February 8. A total of one crore 55 lakh 24 thousand 858 voters of Delhi will decide the fate of the candidates.

After the final list of BJP came out yesterday, pictures of every area have come to the fore. BJP has left Burari seat for its two allies JDU and Deoli seat for LJP (R). Many other allies have already fielded their candidates on some seats.

In the 2020 elections, JDU contested on two seats. This time, despite JDU's stature increasing at the centre, its share in Delhi has been halved.

JDU has again fielded its old candidate Shailendra Kumar from its quota seat, who had lost badly in the last election. Local BJP workers are also very angry about giving this seat to JDU again.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has intensified the awareness campaign to increase the voting percentage in the national capital. For the convenience of the voters, 13 thousand 33 polling booths will be set up in this election. There will be an average of 1191 voters at each booth. People above 85 years of age can vote from home.

On the other hand, intellectuals have also started speculating about this election. Some people are talking about change of power, while some are saying that AAP's seats will definitely be less, but it will definitely get enough seats to form the government. Congress will also perform better than before.

Subhash Goyal, who was the president of Delhi University Students Union during the time of former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi, says that AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal no longer has the shine that he had in 2012 and subsequent elections. The people of Delhi have decided to hand over the power to BJP this time.

In response to a question, Mr. Goyal said that this time BJP will form the government by securing 50 to 55 seats, because the people of Delhi now want to be free from Kejriwal's rule.

Well-known social worker and one of the top leaders of Purvanchal, Arvind Pathak says that this time also AAP has fielded candidates keeping in mind the caste and regional equations, but now it is not going to get such a massive majority. After a long rule, the people want change.

In response to a question, Mr. Pathak said that BJP has been ignoring the Purvanchal society since the beginning. Congress has also had almost the same attitude. The people of Purvanchal have strengthened their position through struggle. I will campaign with their support this time too.

Haji Afzal, who has been continuously making his wife Begum Shakeela a councilor from Seelampur, Delhi, says that this time again AAP government will be formed in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal has the full blessings of the people.

Haji Afzal said that he has done many important works for the development of Delhi. This time AAP will get 65 to 67 seats. BJP's graph will fall. Congress will barely be able to open its account. L.S.
