Campaign of veterans in Karnataka heated up the atmosphere

Bengaluru, 27th April 2023 (RNI): In Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections, the atmosphere has been heated by jumping into the campaign of veterans of various parties. Especially Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's statement about poisonous snake has created a political ruckus. The vehicle has hit back hard.
On behalf of the ruling BJP in the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party president J.P. Nadda, from the main opposition party Congress, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and former Chief Minister Kumar Swami are holding several meetings daily. The leaders have also launched scathing attacks on each other in their speeches.
Polling for the 224-member Legislative Assembly in Karnataka will be held on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13. The last date for filing nominations was April 20. After the withdrawal of nominations on April 24, more than three thousand candidates have remained in the fray.
According to BJP sources, apart from these veteran leaders, more than a hundred leaders are holding meetings in different areas every day. These include many Chief Ministers and other senior leaders of BJP-ruled states.
Former General Secretary of Congress and Leader of Opposition in the State Legislative Council B.K. Hariprasad told that his leaders are holding many meetings daily. A huge crowd is gathering in the meetings of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. He said that there is a wave in favor of Congress in the state.
JDS President and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda will address more than three dozen meetings in the next 11 days.The party has fixed the president's campaign schedule mostly in areas which are considered prestige areas for the party.Most of the there are areas of rural area.L.S.
