BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVER CONTRACTOR, ARREST A KIDNAPPER

Ara, 26 November 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police busted a racket and arrested a contractor of Vanarasi from Amheta village under Agiaw Bazaar police station in Bhojpur district Amit Kumar Pandey and an accused Jai Ram Kharwar in this regard. Members of the gang from Amheta village under Agiaw Bazaar police station in Bhojpur district extort money from the youth after trapping them in love. The kidnapped contractor was entrapped in love by a girl, kidnapped and was demanded Rs. 60 lakh for ransom. The beloved of the contractor was also involved in it. She made a fake Facebook ID and trapped the contractor in her love. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

SDPO Rahul Kumar said that the beloved of the contractor of Rohtas was married to Amheta village under Agiaw Bazaar police station but she deserted her husband was living with her neighbour Anshu Tiwari in a rented house at Indira Nagar in Bikramganj in Rohtas district. She made a fake Facebook ID and entrapped a contractor Amit Pandey in her love. She called Amit Pandey to Bikramgaj on November 4, 2022 and when he reached there, he was kidnapped and was kept in the house of Anshu Tiwari at Amheta. The kidnappers demanded Rs. 60lakh as ransom and planned to kill the contractor after getting the ransom money. Meanwhile the police got information and rescued him with the help of villagers. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Agiaw Bazaar police station on statement of the contractor against six persons including his beloved, all are residents Amheta and Piro.

Quoting the FIR, the SHO Agiaw Bazaar police station said that the contractor came in contact with the girl on Facebook about four years ago but they were not on talking term for the last two years. On November 3, 2022, the girl called him and invited him to Bikramganj saying that she was married to an elderly person but her husband is no more now and she was all alone and so she wished to meet him to enjoy. The contractor Amit Pandey reached Bikramganj on November 4, 2022 and went to her rented house at Indira Nagar at Bikramganj in Rohtas district where he was served tea, confectionary and condensed milk (khoa). He fell unconscious after taking them. When he regained consciousness, he found himself in a dilapidated house and his legs and hands were tied with rope where the kidnappers demanded Rs. 60 lakh as ransom with a threat of dire consequences. They also snatched his ATM card, asked the PIN and withdrew money.

The SDPO further said that the arrested Jai Ram Kharwar confessed that he was hired at Rs. 1000 a day to keep watch on a youth and a pistol and two live cartridges were given to him for the purposes. He earlier worked in Surat in Gujarat but he had to return his native village after he lost his job there in May this year. Meanwhile, Anshu Tiwari and Babloo Tiwari of Amheta village contacted and promised him to give Rs. 1000 per day. On their command, he along with four others kidnapped the contractor.

Meanwhile, the villagers heard crying of a person in the dilapidated house at Amheta village and informed the police. On their information, the SDPO and the SHO Agiaw Bazaar police station Brajesh Kumar conducted raid and recovered the contractor and arrested Jai Ram Kharwar. The police also recovered a pistol and two live cartridges.
