Bhojpur police recovered body of a woman from her house at Mauzampur village under Sinha police outpost in Bhojpur district and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Ara, 2 December 2022, (RNI): Bhojpur police recovered body of a woman from her house at Mauzampur village under Sinha police outpost in Bhojpur district and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Rupa Devi 35 wife of Home Guard person Amar Singh.
Binay Singh of Bakhorapur village and father of the deceased said that Amar Singh always thrashed Rupa Devi and at last burnt her alive. He locked the body inside the room and escaped. Even the son of the deceased Ritu Raj confirmed the incident. The family members of the deceased said that Amar Singh had killed his first wife Anita Devi of Ara and he was married to Rupa Devi in the year 2006. They blamed that the police reached the incident site after 12 hours of incident.
SHO Sinha police outpost Rajeev Kumar said that he had not information and as he got information, he rushed to the spot and recovered the body. He said that the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant after lodging an FIR in this regard.
