Amrendra Foundation distributed sanitary pads among school girls

Meerut, 3 March 2023 (RNI): The volunteers of Amrendra Foundation,  distributed sanitary pads among 100 girls on Friday at Vijay Memorial School and Dhindala Government School located in Dhindala Panchayat, Meerut.  This pad was given completely free of cost to the girl students of the schools.  On behalf of the Foundation, Devika Chowdhary and other female teachers also informed everyone about menstruation during this period.

The members of the Foundation educated girls about the problems arising due to negligence during this period. The volunteers also elaborated on the ways by which serious diseases can be avoided by keeping oneself clean during the menstrual cycle.  They also told that during this time using dirty clothes can lead to serious illness.

Noted journalist and co-founder of Amrendra Foundation, Navesh Kumar said that our aim is to provide sanitary pads to maximum number of women and girl students at the village level.  Mr. Kumar told that this year our target is to distribute more than 50,000 pads in various states.

Social worker Chowdhary Rajiv Kundu, teacher Ajit, Siddharth Chowdhary, Mr. Rajkumar, Mrs. Mamta and youth leader Anil Chowdhary were present on this occasion.  All the people appreciated the initiative of the NGO and expressed their desire to take part in such social initiative even further.
