AIIMS ophthalmologist Dr. Titiyal operated

New Delh (RNI) Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) J.S. Titiyal, the country's renowned senior ophthalmologist and head of the ophthalmology department at All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, today operated on the right eye of senior journalist Dr. Samrendra Pathak.
The eye surgery of Dr. Pathak, the executive President of the SAARC Journalist Forum and the pioneer of the UNI movement, was done in the morning at A.I.I.M.S. with ultra-modern laser technology. Some tests were also done before this today. Modern type of lens has been used in his eye. Surgery of the second eye will be done later.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Titiyal has successfully operated the eyes of many prominent personalities of the country, including Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, with laser technology.
Apart from Dr Pathak's close family members, All India Mithila Sangharsh Samiti's International Convenor, Prof. Amrendra Jha and leaders of various journalist organizations were present during the surgery at A.I.I.M.S. L.S.
