ADVOCATES STAGE DHARNA FOR JUSTICE TO THE SLAIN ADVOCATE
Dozens of advocates, Ara Bar Association led by Rakesh Mishra, president, Ara Bar Association, staged a day long dharana in front of the statue of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan today in protest against murder of an advocate cum businessman, Dr Hari Ji Gupta and dilly-dallying activities of the police and also to press fulfillment of their five point demand.
Ara, 11 November 2022, (RNI): Dozens of advocates, Ara Bar Association led by Rakesh Mishra, president, Ara Bar Association, staged a day long dharana in front of the statue of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan today in protest against murder of an advocate cum businessman, Dr Hari Ji Gupta and dilly-dallying activities of the police and also to press fulfillment of their five point demand.
Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Mishra said that Dr Hari Ji Gupta was an advocate as well as a social worker and his murder sent a shock wave in the advocate community. He demanded compensation of Rs. 30 lakh to the family members of the deceased advocate, government job to the next kin of the deceased in the State or Central government, capital punishment to the named and unnamed accused in the murder of the advocate after speedy trial, ensure implementation of Advocate Protection Act in Bihar, issuance of arms licenses to the advocates.
The dharna was conducted by Anup Kumar Tiwari, vice president, Ara Bar Association while Jayant Kumar Singh, secretary, Ara Bar Association extended vote of thanks.
