ADJ AWARDS LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR GANG RAPE
Additional District and Session Judge VI, Buxar Civil Court Prabhakar Dutta Mishra awarded life imprisonment to two persons Babloo Yadav and Nepali Yadav and slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on each of them in connection with gang rape while the court awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment to Bhola Kumar and slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him for the same reason. The Court also directed the Bihar government to give Rs. 5 lakh to the victim as compensation.
Buxar, 22 December 2022, (RNI): Additional District and Session Judge VI, Buxar Civil Court Prabhakar Dutta Mishra awarded life imprisonment to two persons Babloo Yadav and Nepali Yadav and slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on each of them in connection with gang rape while the court awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment to Bhola Kumar and slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him for the same reason. The Court also directed the Bihar government to give Rs. 5 lakh to the victim as compensation.
Special Public Prosecutor, Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO), Suresh Kumar Singh said that Nepali Yadav, Babloo Yadav and Bhola Kumar of Sarimpur had decoyed a minor girl of Niranjanpur Bridge and had taken her to a half built building where they gang raped her on November 30, 2021.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VI, Buxar Civil Court awarded life imprisonment to Babloo Yadav and Nepali Yadav and slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on each of them while awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to Bhola Kumar and slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him. Nepali Yadav and Babloo Yadav were already in the jail while Bhola Kumar was sent to jail after the announcement of penalty.
