YOUTH WHO SENT OBSCENE PHOTOS TO GIRL OF ARA ARRESTED FROM GAYA RAILWAY STATION

Ara, 20 July 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a resident of Bangladesh from the Gaya railway station in connection with threatening to send obscene photographs by calling a girl of Ara in Bhojpur district on mobile and the making the video viral. The arrested youth was identified as Apurv Bairagi alias Deepak Kumar son of Adhir Bairagi a resident of Dharawasahi village under Kotalipada police station of Gopalganj district in Bangladesh when he was going to Vardhman district in West Bengal by train to escape from the police.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a woman Ramita Devi of Maulabagh under Ara Nawada police station in Bhojpur district complained in writing on May 19, 2023 that Apurva Bairagi alias Deepak Kumar called on her mobile, on the mobiles of her nephew and daughter and threatened that he had obscene photographs and videos of her daughter and he would make them viral on social media if she did not part with handsome amount. A police team was formed under the ASP Chandra Prakash to arrest the youth. The police team following scientific research and technical information, reached Gaya and arrested the youth from the Gaya railway station.

The SP stated that when examined, it came to light that Apurva Bairagi alias Deepak Kumar was related with several girls. Names and photographs and contact numbers of several girls were found in his mobile and he used to blackmail the girls and has link with Bihar, Bengal and MP. The police recovered a pen drive, fake Adhar Card, two PAN cards with two different surnames Pass Port and several Identity cards of India while he has a passport of Bangladesh. Police are investigating the matter. The police got names, photographs and contact numbers of several girls from the Pen drive. The SP stated that the police and even the security agency are investigating as to how he got the Adhar Card when he was a citizen of Bangladesh.

The SP said that earlier he was arrested from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh in June 12, 2023 but he dozed the police near Unnav when he was being brought to Ara by road on June 14, 2023 at about 4am saying that he was to attend call of nature and escaped from the police custody under the cover of darkness. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Soharamayu police station of Unnav Meanwhile, the police team  got information that he was trying to flee away to Uttar Pradesh via Gaya by train but the police team arrested from the Gaya railway station and sent him to jail after interrogation. He was a staff in the clinic of a doctor at Ara and he opened his own clinic in Madhya Pradesh about a year ago. He worked with his maternal uncle in his clinic and treated the patients of sexual diseases.

It was said that he used to trap different girls by changing the gate-up and names. He changed his surname according to the surnames of girls. It was detected from the mobile and identity cards seized from the youth. After trapping girls from different social media or wrong numbers he somehow made nude photos and videos of the girls and blackmail them.

The SP said that on some identity cards were made with the address of Damodarpur village in Bhojpur district while some identity cards were made with the address of Vardhnan in
West Bengal. Besides, the PAN card is made with the name of Deepak Sah while the Adhar Card is made with the name of Deepak Singh.

Apurva Bairagi is already married and his wife lives in Vardhman. He used to cheat girls with different names and changed his titles as per the titles of girls.

Apurva Bairagi confessed during police interrogation he lived with his maternal uncle at Maulabagh in Ara and worked in a venereal disease clinic.

The mother of the girl said in the FIR the accused threatened by citing connection with the police and senior officials of other department and used to send messages on WhatsApp from three different numbers and anyone dared to talk to him, he threatened with dire consequences. She said that she and her family members bore the threat and vulgar talks on mobiles for about five months and dared not to go to police to complain. She switched off the mobile of her daughter for two months and when the brother of the girl tried to talk to Apurva Bairagi, he threatened him with dire consequences.  

He found a new way of blackmailing. He made fake face book account of the girl and added himself to the facebook account of her relatives. After that he started blackmailing the girl posting her nude photos on face book messenger. Even if not satisfied with this much, he posted obscene photos on the victim’s FB account and threatened to upload her obscene photos on all the platforms of social media.

The SP said that once Apurva Bairagi enticed a daughter of CRPF personnel and made her obscene video and blackmailed her. The SP stated that informed the Special Branch and other departments about the arrest of a Bangladeshi youth.
