ARA-----------------------One youth succumbed to his injuries at Patna during treatment. The deceased was identified as Raj Kumar 20 of Devrath village under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district who lived in a rented room at Pakadi Gas Agency road under Nawada police station. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Ara town police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
Mohit Kumar friend of the deceased said that he had a son about 15 days ago and he died of jaundice at a private nursing home at Mahavir Tola during treatment. Raj Kumar along with other friends had come with food for his family on August 23, 2023. They were returning to their rooms at Gas Agency on an auto-rickshaw in the late night when motorcycle borne two youths from behind the auto-rickshaw came and the pillion rider fired and the bullet hit Raj Kumar on the auto-rickshaw in which he was badly injured. His friends rushed him to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to the Patna in precarious condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that no one informed the police regarding the incident but police are investigating the matter. He stated that primary investigation showed that it was an accidental firing and added that the deceased was also a wrong kind of man.
