One youth slipped from the clutch of Excise Department and fled away. He was arrested in connection with using liquor during liquor checking by the sleuths of the Excise Deparment at Kakrait Check-post under Durgawati police station in Kaimur district.

BHABHUA--------------------------------One youth slipped from the clutch of Excise Department and fled away. He was arrested in connection with using liquor during liquor checking by the sleuths of the Excise Deparment at Kakrait Check-post under Durgawati police station in Kaimur district. When the youth did not reach home, his family members and even the Kaimur police started searching for him and the police fished out a body from the Karmnasha river after 50 hours of the incident. The youth was identified as Deepak Kumar of Mau district in Uttar Pradesh who was a JCB operation at the brick kiln of Harendra Yadav of Kabilashpur. As the news of recovery of his body spread, the villagers blocked the road for hours and demanded compensation for the family members of the deceased and action against the officials of the Excise Department. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Durgawati police station on the statement of the wife of the deceased in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.
In-charge, Kakrait Check-Post Upendra Kumar said that the officials of the Excise Department were checking liquor smuggling at the Check-Post and also arrested some person using liquor and put them in the vehicle. They were preparing to take them to the Bhabhua Civil Court and as the vehicle of the Excise Department proceeded the check-post, two youths jumped off the vehicle and escaped but the officials of the Excise Department chased and caught one of them while another succeeded in fleeing.
