YOUTH SHOT DEAD IN ROHTAS VILLAGE

SASARAM (RNI) Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a youth near Kariyawa Bal under Bikamganj police station in Rohtas district. The locals informed the police regarding the incident. The police arrived at the spot and recovered the body from under a tree about 4 kilometers from the Barana village and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Deepak Kumar Singh 26 son of Ram Sinhasan Singh of Barana village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district. Money transaction is said to be the cause behind the incident. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Bikramganj police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

SHO Bikramganj police station Lalan Kumar said that the youth was shot dead. A team of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has collected some evidences from the spot. He added that an FIR has been lodged with the police under Bikramganj police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter from different angles. He said that the police recovered a .312 calibre country made pistol, one live cartridge and a blank cartridge from the spot. The SHO said that the deceased work of money lending and money transaction might be the reason behind his murder.
