Ara, 26 May 2023, (RNI): In a pleasure firing, one youth was shot dead at Saidpur village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Rohit Singh 25 son of Dharmendra Singh and cousin brother of the bride. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Ara Muffassil police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a barat has come at Saidpur village in the evening and during a ritual, someone fired and the bullet hit Rohit Singh son of Dharmendra Singh. The injured was admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The SP said that CCTV footage are being collected to identify the person who fired.
