YOUTH SHOT DEAD IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara (RNI) Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a motorcycle borne youth near Garaiya Math at Shobhi Dumara Village on Sinha-Ara main road under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on February 4, 2024 and escaped from the scene. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. ASP Parochay Kumar along with police force rushed to the Ara Sadar Hospital and took detailed information from the family members of the deceased. The deceased was identified as Ashishek Kumar alias Angad 25 son of Birendra Rai of Babu Bazaar Charpulawa under Ara town police station. He worked as a private employee at PWD water tank at Ramana Maidan. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained though money transaction is reportedly might be the cause behind the incident.

Harendra Kumar, elder brother of the deceased said that he had gone out on work while his brother Abhishek Kumar alias Angad was at home. He added someone called him on mobile and asked him to come to Shobhi Dumara village and when Abhishej Kumar alias Angad went there on his motorcycle, the miscreants pumped four bullets into his body and injured him and escaped from the scene. The villagers rushed him to the Ara Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital. Harendra Kumar further denied any dispute with anyone.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Abhishek Kumar alias Angad was to be married on March 2, 2024 at Deoaar village under Sandesh police station and somebody shot him dead after calling him to Shobhi Dumara. He said a police team under the ASP is investigating the matter and is also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
