ARA-----------------------------In an old enmity some armed miscreants shot dead a youth from point blank at Karisath village under Gajrajganj police outpost when he had gone there to participate in a Yagya. The deceased was identified as Rohit Singh 30 son of late Omkar Nath Singh of Karisath village. He was an accused in the murder of a youth of the village. The SHO Gajrajganj police outpost Hari Prasad Sharma reached the incident site and started investigating the matter.
Raju Singh uncle of the deceased said that his family had a dispute with some people of the same village and there had been a shootout in between the two groups in the past. On November 7, 2023 in the evening Rohit Singh had gone to watch the Yagya going on in the village when some armed persons of other group waylaid and shot at and injured him. The police rushed him to a private nursing home at Babu Bazaar but the doctor after first aid referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the PMCH. Raju Singh blamed Ashish Singh, Shubham Singh, Ayush Singh, Ashok Singh, and others for killing his nephew.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a youth was shot dead at Karisath village under Gajrajganj police outpost in an old enmity. Police are investigating the matter and said that all the miscreants have been identified. He added that a police team has been formed and said that the miscreants would be arrested very soon.
