YOUTH SHOT AT, INJURED IN PLEASURE FIRING
Despite several direction to discourage pleasure firing during marriage and other functions, the incident is not seemed to be stopped. In the latest pleasure firing, a youth received bullet and was injured at Zamua village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district in the evening on May 27, 2023 during a marriage ritual.
Ara, 28 May 2023, (RNI): Despite several direction to discourage pleasure firing during marriage and other functions, the incident is not seemed to be stopped. In the latest pleasure firing, a youth received bullet and was injured at Zamua village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district in the evening on May 27, 2023 during a marriage ritual. The injured was identified as Rakesh Kumar 17 son of Tapasay Yadav of Zamua village. Later the police admitted the injured to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating the matter.
Tapasya Yadav said that a marriage of Ganesh Sao alias Babua son of Nagendra Sao of Zamua village was to be solemnized at Karisath village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur and a ritual was going on prior to the marriage procession. Youths were dancing at the tune of band at the gate of Nagendra Sao. His son Rakesh Kumar was sitting on the Pick-up van as he was to go with the marriage procession along with other villagers when Navin Ojha of the village fired and the bullet hit Rakesh Kumar and injured him.
