ARA-------------------------One youth received bullet injuries and was injured under mysterious circumstances near a mosque at Ara Collectorate under Nawada police station in the evening on January 22, 2024 and was admitted to a private nursing home. The injured was identified as Ritesh Kumar Singh 23 son of Jai Ganesh Singh of Teghara village Ward No 1 under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district. He lived in his house near Girija Mor under Nawada police station in Ara. On information, the police rushed to the spot and started investigating the matter to know as to how the youth received bullet injuries and also as to whom shot at him.
Rithesh Kumar Singh said that he along with his friend was sitting at the Ara Collectorate Pond near the mosque there when he felt some pain in his left leg and found that blood was oozing from there. His friend rushed him to a private nursing home at Babu Bazaar in Ara. He denied any dispute from anyone.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that it seemed that he was accidentally shot while sitting next to him or near him. Right now the matter seemed suspicious so investigation is being done. CCTV footage of the incident site is being scrutinized.
