One youth was shot at and injured near Musahar Toli at Jaynagar village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on February 4, 2025 over a dispute that arose during a dance on the occasion of Saraswati Puja there.

ARA--------------------------One youth was shot at and injured near Musahar Toli at Jaynagar village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on February 4, 2025 over a dispute that arose during a dance on the occasion of Saraswati Puja there. The family members admitted him to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition though the family members admitted him to a private nursing home at Babu Bazaar where the doctor operated upon him and now his condition is stated stable. The injured was identified as Santu Ram 26 son of Ram Chandra Ram of Jaynagar Musahar Toli under Udwantnagar police station. The police arrived at the spot and started investigating the matter. An FIR has been lodged with the police in this regard also.
The injured Santu Ram said that they had installed idol of Maa Saraswati to perform Puja at Jaynagar Musahar Toli under Udwantnagar police station on February 3, 2025. The idol could be immersed next day it was Tuesday and so they were merry-making and dancing in front of the idol when four persons in drunken stage came there and started scuffling with them and when he objected, they pumped bullet into his body and escaped from the scene.
