ARA-------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured a youth at Godhana locality under Nawada police station in the late evening on March 5, 2025 and escaped from the scene. The injured was rushed to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. Though, the family members admitted him to a private nursing home at Ara. The injured was identified as Abhinay Kumar 24 son of Govind Verma of Godana Road Ward No 44 under Nawada police station. An FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident. The SHO Nawada police station Bipin Bihari arrived at the incident site and started investigating the matter.
Abhinay Kumar said that he along with his two friends was going to flour mill on a motorcycle to Godana Road to take flour for the family when a motorcycle borne youth Dev of Anatih locality under Ara Nawada police station came and pumped bullet into his stomach and escaped from the scene. He denied any dispute with him.
