SASARAM-----------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a youth near Kariyavabal village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district. Police recovered a country made pistol, one live cartridge and a blank cartridge from the spot. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Deepak Singh 26 son of Sinhasan Singh of Barana village. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Bikramganj police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has also been requisitioned.
Family members of the deceased said that Deepak Singh had gone to his sister at Nowaw village on March 3, 2025. He along with his nephew Ansh Kumar was returning to his native village in the evening at about 4pm. He stayed near Salempur Bridge and asked his nephew to return and proceeded himself ahead but after that he was not heard of. Next day, his body was found near Kairyawabal village under Bikramganj police station. Police officials are trying to declare a case of suicide but the family members that someone shot Deepak Singh to death. However, police are investigating the matter.
