YOUTH KILLED AND HANGED TO A TREE IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara, 18 July 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police recovered body of a youth hanging to a branch of a tree at Chitkundi Chakia village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district in the night on July 17, 2023 and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Anwar Khan alias Dhannu 23 son of Md Sahir of Chitkundi Chakia village. He was a labour by profession. Tension prevails in and around the village following the incident.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that some youths hanged him to a tree over old dispute. He said that a police team under the ASP Chandra Prakash has been formed for the investigation and arrest of miscreants. Police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. He said that police force has been deployed in the village to keep round the close vigil and to maintain law and order there.

On the other hand, Rukhsana, sister of the deceased said that he had some tiff with his neighbour over tying of goat on July 14, 2023 and both had clashed in which her three brothers and father were injured. The matter was subsided after the other group paid for treatment. She said in the evening on July 17, 2023, Anwar Khan alias Dhannu came from his site and told his mother that he was going to the field to attend call of nature. He also said that he would take his meal after coming from the field. He gave Rs. 80 for purchasing and went to the field in the village to attend the call of nature but he did not return. So she and the mother went out of the house to search him and found that his body was hanging to a tree about 1.5 kilometer from the village. They raised alarm and the villagers assembled there. They took down the body and informed the police. She blamed Sukhdeo and his sons Monu, Manish and Thethi of the village for the murder of her brother saying that they took revenge of incident occurred on July 14, 2023. They killed him and hanged the body to the tree to give a colour of suicide.
