YOUTH KIDNAPPED, RELEASED, POLICE ARREST ONE KIDNAPPER, SEIZED FIREARMS

Ara, 7 January 2023, (RNI): Some armed miscreants kidnapped a youth from Shahpur area under the same police station in the morning and also snatched Rs. 1.20 lakh from him though the kidnappers had to fled away releasing the youth after the police chased them. The police also arrested one of the kidnappers Lal Muni Pandey of Sonaki village and seized one country made pistol, one live cartridge, one dagger and a mobile from his possession and are also conducting raids to arrest the rest three kidnappers. The youth was identified as Barmeshwar Kumar of Bihia under the same police station. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Shahpur police station against four persons including Lal Muni Pandey. 

SHO Shahpur police station Pramod Kumar said that Barmeshwar Kumar had a dispute with Lal Muni Pandey and some others of Sonaki village. In the morning today when Barmeshwar was going to Shahpur from Bihia, motorcycle borne armed miscreants intercepted him near Belauti village on Ara-Buxar main road and kidnapped him and escaped towards Sonaki Bhagad on their motorcycle. Lal Muni Pandey forcibly got Rs. 90,000 transferred to his bank account and also snatched Rs. 30,000 from Barmeshwar. In the meanwhile, the police knew about it and at the direction of Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav, a police team under the leadership of Rajeev Chandra Singh chased them. Seeing the police, the miscreants left Barmeshwar near Sahjauli village and escaped though the police arrested one of the kidnappers Lal Muni Pandey and seized a country made pistol, one live cartridge, one dagger and a mobile from his possession.

Barmeshwar said that he was going to Shahpur along with his wife and one year old son for the treatment of his son when motorcycle borne four persons intercepted him near Belauti village and kidnapped him at pistol point leaving his wife and son behind.
