YOUTH DIED AFTER CONSUMING POISON IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA-------------------------One youth was committed suicide by consuming poison at Dev village under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Deepak Singh 37 son of Sriram Singh of Dev village under Sikarhatta police station. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Though, the family members blamed that his friends fed him some poison and killed him. He worked as labour in a plant in Ludhiyana in Punjab. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Sikarhatta police station against five persons of the village on the statement of Sunita Devi wife of the deceased. The police at once arrested two named accused and are conducting raids to arrest the rest named accused. Police are also investigating the matter.

Quoting FIR, the SHO Rajijv Ranjan said that Deepak Singh had come from Ludhiana in the morning on January 13, 2025. His friend Vakil of the village along with his other friends came home and took Deepak Kumar with him. He returned home at about 4pm. Vakil along with his friends once again came home at about 6pm in a car and took Deepak Kumar with him. At about 11pm, he came home with Deepak Kumar in unconscious stage and tried to return leaving him at the gate of the house but his mother saw and queried as to what they had fed him. She would lodge an FIR against them. The family members took him inside the house where he breathed his last at about midnight. They informed the police about the incident and the police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Brother-in-law of the deceased Ram Chandra Kumar blamed Vakil Kumar and his friends for killing Deepak Kumar by feeding some poison due to rivalry.
